The thing to remember about design trends is that they are cyclical, so when you follow an emerging trend to it’s outer margin you better be OK with the understanding that when things change you might really be out of step. Now that is OK as long as you feel you will be in your place for a long time and these design choices will give you a lot of joy and utility.
