As my readers know I have been blogging extensively about the prospects of Amazon choosing one of several Northern Virginia locations (still very bullish on it BTW) but it’s time to consider what an affirmative decision might mean for the local housing market. This is the second article I have read from reputable sources that puts the price effect at under 4%. After taking a bit of a dive into the methodology I can’t say I agree, and neither does my Platinum Club. North of 5% seems to me to be something assured, and potentially significantly higher depending on a number of factors.
While it is not the same as the residential market commercial land and building speculation has been running wild in the region for well over a year. Stay tuned and if you have any insights or comments feel free to post.
It’s a good life.
